Retreat to the core

Daily I open my blog curiously to read comments on it, but when I see always '0 comments' then I close it with despair. I felt the same about my friends' blogs and ironically I also left their pages with out leaving any comments. It's a little painful to accept that nobody is responding to my feelings and thoughts. Sometimes, I think that my dear ones are not getting me… Oh… it's terrible to adjust to such situations. Why do they keep silence...? Shortly, I realised that I also kept silence to my dear ones! I pondered on these feelings and finally I reached at the foot of the cross. I felt that the peak moment of Jesus' suffering might be the unanswered cry to his Father - " MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME?" It was not a cry out of his selfishness, on the contrary it came out of love for his 'Abba'…When this love was hurt or distanced, then it was true suffering. But, why did the Father keep silence, didn't he love his Son? I truly believe that he was also hurt by love, the love for humanity… He really wanted badly to hug his beloved Son on the Cross… but the price for the redemption of whole humanity made him immovable, and He kept silence… thus the Father and the Son in the union of the Holy Spirit hanged on the 'cross' at the same time out of love.

I can not compare these with the pain I felt in the absence of comments or of some other selfish motives, since it was a hurt to my Ego, it had no sacrificial value of suffering. But it is true that when I suffer out of love for my God then it has a redemptive value for the entire humanity. Yes it is really painful to remain unanswered to our dear ones, especially when we feel that they need us badly. Does it have any sacrificial value? If it is to defend my selfishness, then absolutely not but on the contrary if it is out of love for God, yes… it has a greater meaning and fruitfulness. And how many times we have experienced it, the heart breaking silence from our dear ones: husband, wife, papa, mummy, brothers, sisters and friends! And in some moments amidst their blabbering and rude criticisms we feel silence and loneliness. It is the true suffering through which we participate in his continuing redemptive action in this world.

Oh suffering Lord, in this Lenten season help us to avoid the danger of confirming our will as yours. Rather, give us the grace to discern your true will… teach us to practice your silence… to attract everybody to you through it… to retreat ourselves from this worldly noises… to say 'no' to the many things that hide us from your suffering face. Help us become a true part of your suffering mystical body.

I am happy to see that my silence gave you this sort of a reflection; this is the miracle of being silent...

Dear Robyacha, What would happen to our world if all the priests keep silence for a while out of love? It would be intresting to see the result. Thanks a lot for your comment.

it is nice to practice silence in our life. Only in the silence we can hear the voice of God...
Don't forget the fact that there is no one else in the world who is more concerned about other than we ourself.

Hi Sintoo... Yes there is, I beleive that He is more concerned about us than ourself...especially when we become careless about Him, but He prefer silence with respect of our freedom...thanks

your reflection is good
the trouble in this world is due to two reasons
1those who must speak are keeping quiet
2those who must keep quiet are always talking
